Are your shoes the cause of your pain?
Did you know the shoes you wear can be the cause for multiple aches and pains you feel all over your body?
Maybe they don't have enough arch support.
Maybe they're to low around your ankles.
Maybe they don't have enough gel inside for the amount of miles you put on your feet.
Did you know a shoe that is too flat for your foot can allow your ankle to roll inwards causing your knee to collapse potentially causing tension on your MCL. It's could also be the cause of back pain from your hips being out of alignment.
One of the things I will spend a lot of money on is my shoes. When i am not sitting down I am on my feet and I do not have a desk job so that is a lot of miles. I rotate 2-3 pairs at a time and replace them every 4-5 months.
Depending on if you're a runner, Olympic lifter or like to try a bit of everything like me what you choose to put on your feet may be quite different than the person training beside you. For me I do all of the above so I need a flat bottom with good arch support but a lot of Gel inside for the amount of running I like to do. I also have a wide foot and have found the most comfort in Asics Gel noosa. This may not be the same for you so talk to someone who is educated. The running room is great for telling you what foot type you are but may not have the type of shoe you need so shop around.
Remember when youre not in your bed youre likely on your feet so take care of them.
