Well, I have been running into a lot of random people lately telling me how they wish the could get in shape but follow that with excuses like "i'm too old to start now" or "I have a trip coming up so Ill start after that" or my favourite "I have so much going on with the kids and work I really don't have the time"....blah blah blah
Listen, You can give me all the BS excuses in the book and I can assure you I have heard it before and you know what else I also have clients just like you. Clients who started working out after they were 40. Clients who have 2-3 kids and a full time job but they still find the time for their health.
Look, I know it's scary going to the gym your first time. You think everyone in there is looking at you and watching your every move. That they're judging the weights you use and how you use them but what you don't realize is every person in there had a starting point too. No one walks in knowing everything. We are all there to learn and to grow. More often than not they will help you. Encourage you when they hear that you're just starting. Most gyms also have trainers there at all times to guide you if you are unsure of anything and to make sure you don't get hurt.
So take the step. Stop making excuses. I promise the feeling you will have after your first workout will be so rewarding you'll forget why you were so scared in the first place.
