Portion Guide

Your hands can help you when trying to control portions of food groups.
Heres a guideline to help you.

For FAT-Limit fat to an amount the size of the tip of your thumb.

For MEAT or Meat alternatives-Choose an amount up to the size of the palm of your hand and the thickness of your little finger.

For VEGETABLES-Choose as much as you can hold on both hands.

For FRUIT, GRAINS or STARCHES-Choose an amount the size of your fist.
